Lingering effect

I thought I'd write something since I kinda motivated after concert about what I has been doing so far.

Attending concert

NieR: Automata has stunning visuals with a beautiful, bittersweet background melody

Weight of the World
game that I played. Though, I never finished it for many excuses. When I saw ads for the concert, I thought I'll go for the music, but the true pusher was thanks another selling cheap ticket app's advertisement I was able to get $50 ticket in this inflated economy - and I found out that parking for $30 is a thing, in a sense it that could cost more than the concert itself.

The conductor was very enthusiastic, and the creators showed up at the end. They also showed a brief trailer for the related new game. Anyhow, first orchestra concert in US (third in the list), it was good.

Vibe coding

Lately, I've really gotten into the vibe coding movement (I know, I'm late in the game). I've been using free agents on several projects and hoping I'd be able to complete them in some sense 🤞- high bar.

I have a feeling that in the future, many developers may end up acting more like QA engineers, since the code will be written by AI agents and we'll mostly just need to test it.

I also tried running a model locally on my rtx4090 (have you seen the GPU price lately? It could cost as an ambulance trip to ER pretty soon), but for some reason it immediately shut itself down when I ran it. At first, I thought it might be a temperature spike, but now I think it's more likely a voltage spike, which makes more sense since I found nothing else wrong. It's kind of crazy, given that I have a 1000W PSU. I'm not sure; I think I'm going to get a smart outlet to check whether that's the case.

BBQ Smoker

I've also gotten into making BBQ pork because I had a delicious bánh mì in Vietnam and fantasize to recreate something similar at home. I thought I'd get a similar setup, hanging the meat while cooking it, hence, the smoker, I could get the result.

Well, it turned out differently, but still tasted pretty good. However, I realized that the belly pork is also somewhat expensive at around $10 per pound, and after cooking it (which took me about 3 hours), it may shrink by about 20% 🤔. I'm not sure whether making your own is a good deal or not. Also, BBQ duck will be the next attempt.
